Vikings Touchdown in Notre Dame

(Not about football) New evidence is suggesting that the Vikings may have traveled to Notre Dame Bay from L'Anse aux Meadows, the only known Norse settlement in the New World. Jasper artifacts (which were used to light fires) were chemically analyzed and its composition was found to be of Notre Dame Bay origin.

Notre Dame Bay was a densely populated village at the time the Vikings might have traveled there, which could have led to the first contact between the Old and New World.
